Poole Ukulele Pluckers & Strummers (PUPS) was formed in October 2014 to fill the void left for ukulele players in Poole following the discontinuation of the long established and very popular Poole Ukulele Players (P'Uke).

 

Our aim is to provide a twice-monthly event where ukulele enthusiasts can meet, play, sing, chat and generally have a good time. We do not have any ideas of grandeur.  Whatever your playing ability you are welcome to join us - from professional musician to complete beginner.  With lots of us playing together, the occasional duff chord is in good company!

The songs that can be downloaded from this site have been picked as popular and straightforward to play, and the many of them have only 3 or 4 chords.

 

We do have 'open mic' spots when some players perform solos or perhaps duets.   Where possible we try to support local charities by attending fund raising events etc.  But above all, PUPS is about ukulele players having fun.
